Chris Gardner es un padre de familia que lucha por sobrevivir. Convertido en padre soltero, continúa buscando un trabajo mejor pagado empleando todas las tácticas comerciales que conoce. Cuando Gardner consigue hacer unas prácticas en una prestigiosa correduría de bolsa, los dos protagonistas afrontan muchas adversidades en su búsqueda por hacer realidad su sueño de una vida mejor para ambos.
En el Bucarest del siglo XXI, salir por la noche acompañando a una mujer guapa es una inversión financiera arriesgada. Ovidiu, modesto profesor de instituto, no se lo puede permitir. Y sin embargo lo tiene que hacer, porque está más que enamorado de una pequeña sirena con aspiraciones de modelo. A la busca de una fuente de ganancias algo más consistente que una pobre paga de profesor, Ovidiu se sumerge en un mundo fabuloso- la mafia de los mendigos.
Desde la semana pasada estoy con un dolor que no sabía si era de muelas o de encías, y se está tornando algo molesto.
